Upload and creation of new data sets

After successful initial login and registration and unlocking of the account a “My Assets” button will appear in the navigation.

On the “My Assets” page click the “Create Asset” Button next to the search field.

Choose a eLTER Standard Observation (SO) type from the “Asset type” selction and click the “create a new asset button”:

Enter the metadata description for your dataset in the form. You can use the “Save” button at any time to save the data you have entered, even if the form is not fully completed and mandatory fields are missing. You can return to the form again later.

Once you have entered all the required information, you can click on the “Next” button.

Select the files you want to upload or drag them to the upload area. After the upload they should appear in the “Uploaded files” section. Finalize the registration of the dataset with the “Start Quality Checks” button:

The next page presents the datails of your dataset and starts the quality checks. As long as they are running it is not possible to use the buttons in the “Action Menu”. It will take a few seconds for them to be finished.

Once the checks are ready, you’ll be able to edit the dataset again or finalize the process by hitting the “Publish” button:
